About the 2025 nomination

Northern Territory Coroner Judge Armitage has presided over some of the biggest inquests in the Territory’s history including a landmark inquest into the deaths of 4 Aboriginal women who died in domestic violence circumstances, and the investigation into the 2019 police shooting death of Kumanjayi Walker.

Elisabeth uses her role to hold institutions accountable for protecting people's right to live full, safe and equal lives.
