Partners

Community participation and working with organisations that share our goals are the key principles that guide the Community Partnerships for Human Rights program.

Our project partners include the following government, non-government and community-based organisations.

Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES)

AMES provides an extensive range of adult education, training and employment programs to a diverse client community at state, national and international levels. In 2006 the organisation worked with almost 50,000 people from 138 countries.

Australia Council for the Arts

The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory body. It enriches the lives of Australians and their communities by supporting the creation and enjoyment of the arts.

Australian Multicultural Foundation (AMF)

Established in 1988, the AMF aims to cultivate in all Australians a strong commitment to Australia as one people drawn from many cultures, as well as promote awareness of the diversity of cultures within Australia and the contribution made by people from all cultures to the development of Australia.

Australian Red Cross

Whether its immigration and community detention visits, emergency settlement support or the asylum seeker assistance scheme, Red Cross helps people in need, no matter who you are, no matter where you live.

Community Languages Australia (CLA)

CLA is the peak body for Australia's community language schools and after-hours ethnic schools. CLA comprises the Australian Federation of Ethnic Schools Associations, an umbrella body set up to unite the ethnic schools of Australia and their state and territory peak bodies.

Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA)

FaHCSIA is the Australian Government's principal source of advice on social policy. It works in partnership with other government and non-government organisations to manage a diverse range of programs and services which aim to support and improve the lives of Australians.

Diversity Health Institute (DHI)

The DHI is a consortium of public health organisations that work together to improve the health and wellbeing of Australia's culturally and linguistically diverse community. The DHI is based in the Sydney West Area Health Service, comprising units with a state-wide, national and international focus.
