Introduction

The federal Government's Multicultural Access and Equity Policy aims to ensure that, in light of our cultural diversity, Australian Government departments and agencies provide equitable access to services regardless of the cultural or linguistic background of clients.

The Australian Human Rights Commission Agency Multicultural Plan 2013-2015, launched in December 2013, represents a rigorous two-year commitment to making the Commission's work much more accessible to culturally diverse Australians. The Agency Multicultural Plan has been developed with the participation of the whole Commission and is overseen by the Executive Director.
