Inclusive employment initiative (Equality at Work)
Equality at Work is a national initiative supporting inclusive employment by partnering with people with disability and employers to create opportunity.
Equality at work
Creating meaningful employment opportunities for Australians with disability
Equality at Work aims to ensure that all Australians with disability have access to job opportunities, fair pay and safe working conditions.
Since 2020, we have collaborated with employers and people with disability to create inclusive and accessible workplaces that serve as a model for all employers who wish to employ more people with disability.
Equality at Work is the second phase of the IncludeAbility Project.
About Equality at Work
Equality at Work understands that the right to work is a basic human right enjoyed by all.
For people with disability, Equality at Work promotes:
- financial independence through fair wages and conditions
- ongoing employment opportunities
- career progression
- fulfilling and satisfying work in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We work with a proactive and committed group of employers to deliver Equality at Work.
We are guided by our Ambassadors who bring professional expertise and lived experience of disability.
