This page brings together key services across Australia for discrimination, consumer and legal issues, as well as support and advocacy services for older people.

If you require assistance in an emergency or life-threatening situation, contact 000.

If you are concerned about elder abuse and want more information, the opportunity to talk to someone about your concerns, or options for getting help, you can call the National Elder Abuse phone line:

Calls are automatically redirected to a specialist service in your state or territory.

If you believe you've experienced discrimination based on your age, you can make a complaint to the Commission. Someone can also make a complaint on your behalf.

The following services provide support to help you communicate with organisations if you need assistance.

National Relay Service (NRS)

If you are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment, you can contact the National Relay Service (NRS).

When connected, ask for the relevant support service.

Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS)

If you prefer to communicate in a language other than English, you can use the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) .
