If their application is successful this will lead to another of extreme and long frustration period for the Deaf Community. We've suffered enough with the lack of captioning on television. This is like kicking us while we are down. it's already bad enough that we don't have equal access to captioning cinemas. The majority of Deaf people live outside Melbourne. Many of them have different jobs at different hours, thus they don't have the opportunity of watching a movie that only will show once a day. And we only have THREE little opportunities to watch a captioned movie: Wednesday morning, Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. But they don't deserve to be called opportunities, because there are 24 hours a day and we have many things to do in a day meaning it is difficult to make time for a movie that many of us may would love to watch. What I am saying is not only their application must be rejected but action must be taken to provide the Deaf Community the equal access as it's their right! Kind regards Dylan Beasley
