From: Pam Danson Sent: Tuesday, 1 December 2009 1:35 PM To: disabdis Hi there, I would like to protest about the number of accessible films for Deaf people, people with Ushers Syndrome and blind people in Australian cinemas. At the moment only a very small number of films are made available with captions or special audio equipment for these people which is very disproportionate compared to what is available for 'hearing' people. It is a human right that all people have equal access to opportunity and education including the valuable resource the film represents in whatever genre. I appeal to your sense of equity and fairness to establish a new era where all people can access what others take for granted. thanks Pam Danson
