Dear Sir/Madam,
 
I am writing to oppose the exemption from the Disability Discrimination Act which the The Cinema Industry 
has applied for. 
 
I understand that this exemption, if accepted, would be valid for the next two and a half years and 
would relieve them of their obligation to provide captioning for the deaf and hard of hearing.  
 
If accepted this application would further restrict the access deaf and hard of hearing people have to cinema. 
This restriction would undoubtedly lead to a further loss of social connectedness and well being for this 
population.
 
This is not acceptable.
 
Please do not grant this exemption.
