To Whom It May Concern:

I wish to express my strongest opposition to the Cinema Industries proposed application for 
exemption from the Disability Discrimination Act in relation to captioning for the next two and a 
half years.

This proposal will discriminate against the deaf and hard of hearing adversely affecting their 
enjoyment of an accepted social activity. If this exemption proposal is accepted it would be a 
significant step backwards in achieving equitable access for a particular disability group.
