To whom it may concern
I am writing to express my concern at the recent application by the 4 main movie exhibitors in 
Australia to be exempt from the Disability Discrimination Act for 2.5 years. I believe this is a 
gross injustice discriminating against hearing and vision impaired members of the public who 
will remain limited in their access to mainstream movies. The submission contravenes the 
Government’s National Arts and Disability Strategy and is unacceptable in a democratic 
society espousing equal rights and opportunities.
