To: disabdis Subject: Cinema exemption should be rejected To Whom It May Concern, I would like to express my dissent and concern against the cinemas' attempt to be exempt from the Disability Discrimination Act for any length of time. Deaf, hearing-impaired, blind and vision impaired people have a right to access community entertainment facilities. It is hard enough currently to be able to go together as a family to accessible fun. This is a backward step and against the spirit of fairness and equal access to all members of the Australian society. Kind Regards Julie Kiyega BHlthSc(Rehabilitation Counselling)
