Subject:	Captioned movies

Whom it may concern, 
 
I am a profoundly Deaf woman, and I think I deserve the right to be able to enjoy movies on 
the big screen with captions available. 
 
I also think I deserve the right to be able to voice my concerns if there are any regarding the 
captioning of movies. 
 
I do not want to have to wait for the DVD release, and even then, some of the DVD's aren't 
captioned. 
 
In this age of the technology advances, it (the captioning)  is such a small thing compared 
with all the "special effects" that many movies have. It would be embarrassing if captions 
are not universally the norm. 
 
Hundreds of millions of other people have that enjoyment of hearing, while us Deaf people 
have to "miss out" on this enjoyment. Those hundreds of millions also have the privilege of 
being recognized as individuals, while us Deaf people are still misunderstood in many ways.  
 
I would like to add my name to the petitioning to have captioning available at the big screen 
movies.
