Many of these people comment on their inability to access basic services. Cinema is one thing often mentioned. As the current application of big cinema players for exemption from providing captioning to assist those with hearing disabilities is being considered, I would ask you to consider the one in six ( and will in coming years become one in four) Australians with a hearing loss who deserve access to good quality cinema that is appropriate for their disability.
