Subject:	R.e. Exemption from disability discrimination act for captioning


I am opposed to the following mentioned application and do not think that it is right, in any way:

“The Cinema Industry has applied for an exemption from the Disability Discrimination Act in 
relation to captioning for the next two and a half years”

The hearing impaired population have just as much right to enjoy a cinematic experience, and for 
many, captioning is the only way this is achieved.
