Subject:	proposed exemption from the Disability Discrimination Act in relation 
to captioning

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to express strong my opposition to the proposed exemption from the Disability Discrimination 
Act in relation to captioning for the next two and a half years.   As an Audiologist I understand the difficulties 
faced by deaf and hard of hearing people.  Captioning does not effect the movie viewing pleasure of hearing 
people but makes a big difference in the lives of deaf and hard of hearing people.  Please do not grant this 
exemption.
