Hi, I wanted to voice my opinion about the cinema exemption for the disability and the blind, When I saw that Deaf Arts Network has told us about the reduced number of screenings to just 0.3% or just three per week, that really sounded terrible! I have lived in Melbourne for a very long time, and my favourite and most preferred location is the South Yarra, Jam Factory Village Cinemas. It really is the best spot to watch anything captioned, if the other cinemas in Victoria closes down, I wouldn't mind at all, it's that place that I value the most, but to find out it will be only screening three times a week, if it's not on a Friday night, then really, I would never have any time to watch it! That really is not right, compared to how easy the hearing people has it! Why can't Village Cinema keep captioning movies there? It's one of the best hanging out spots for the deaf youth group and it's a cool, hip place too by Chapel St I want to say that I disagree with the exemption, I mean not able to stand up or even complain for two and a half years? Where is the freedom of speech? Where is the fight? Where is the respect really? Yours regard fully, Brent Rogers
