Subject:	exemption from the Disability Discrimination Act 

I am opposed to the granting of this exemption from the Disability Discrimination Act. It denies equal 
access by our community to the film industry. The cinema industry is a service industry and should 
provide a service to all it cliental not conditional on whether it is peak or off peak times. This minority 
population of a diverse community would be  denied access to this service without the captioning. 
Australian prides itself on diversity and assimilation of its population. This action would be divisionary 
to this population who has a Nationally recognised language of Auslan of which its written form is 
English.
