To: disabdis Subject: captioning at movie theatres Dear Sir/ Madam, I have just been advised re the movie industry applying to be exempted from captioning movies for the next two and half years. I strongly disagree with this as I believe hearing impaired people have as much right as normal hearing people to enjoy a movie at any session they would like to attend. As the population is ageing, more and more people have a hearing impairment, so there is a greater need for captioning than ever. Sincerely Heather Talbot (mother of hearing impaired teenager who enjoys going to movies)
