About the 2025 nomination

Satara is an activist and leader working to help young people be heard in policy making. She undertakes listening tours, sharing letters from children and young people in detention with government, and raising awareness about human rights issues such as modern slavery and forced marriage.

Satara is currently Australia's UN youth representative, serves on the ABC’s Youth Advisory Council, is a National Youth Advisor for Amnesty International, and was named Young Woman to Watch in International Affairs in 2024.
