The 4-part documentary television series takes viewers inside the High Court of Australia, where ordinary citizens have challenged the laws that define the nation in landmark cases. The series covers marriage equality, First Peoples’ fight for land rights, immigration laws affecting asylum seekers, and prisoners' right to vote.
Representing some of Australia’s marginalised and vulnerable groups - the LGBTQIA+ community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, immigrants and prisoners - Judgment: Cases that Changed Australia demonstrates moments throughout history where personal battles have become constitutional turning points.
