About the complaint
The complainant was employed as a graphic designer with the respondent real estate company. She alleged the respondent company director sexually harassed her, including by brushing her breasts with his arm on several occasions and putting his fingers in her vagina while they travelled together in a taxi on the day of the work Christmas party.
The respondents denied the allegations. The respondents claimed the company director met with the complainant on several occasions to discuss her concerns and she was unable to offer any evidence in support of her allegations.
The complaint was resolved with an agreement that the respondents pay the complainant $60,000 and write to her acknowledging the feelings that led to her lodging her complaint.
