About the complaint
The complainant has low vision and dined at the respondent’s fast food outlet. He said that he collided with the restaurant’s glass sliding door when exiting the restaurant. He alleged there were inappropriate visual safety indicators on the door to enable him to safely exit the restaurant.
On being advised of the complaint, the respondent indicated a willingness to try to resolve the complaint by conciliation.
The respondent agreed to immediately reinstall visual indicators on the glass doors of the restaurant, and to conduct a wider audit of its other restaurants to ensure the correct visual indicators were displayed.
