This is a joint submission by the Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner, NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner, and the Australian Human Rights Commission regarding the Modern Slavery Bill that is currently being considered by the New Zealand Parliament.

The submission welcomes the Bill as a positive step towards strengthening anti-slavery responses in New Zealand, and identifies relevant lessons from the Australian experience.
