Submission to the ACCC

The Australian Human Rights Commission has made a submission to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on how expanding ecosystems threaten consumer rights to privacy in the Metaverse.

More must be done to:

  • Protect privacy and data in the Metaverse
  • Address tech companies expanding their ecosystems
  • Protect consumers from new and emerging technologies

This submission was made on 05 April 2023 and builds upon the extensive work of the Commission on human rights and technology.
