In October 2020, the Commission invited you to tell us your 2020 Human Rights Heroes for a new online campaign to recognise and amplify the work of people who have made a contribution to human rights on the ground in Australia this year. We had no shortage of nominations and it was an extremely difficult job to whittle them down to the 10 finalists.
The people and organisations we have selected represent the very best of humanity. They are people who have made a tangible difference in so many ways, during what has been a very hard year indeed. They are beacons of hope, kindness and inspiration.
