About the Project

The Australian Human Rights Commission has run a three-year project on the human rights implications of new technologies.

As part of this project, the Commission produced a:

  • Final Report
  • Technical Paper on Addressing AI Bias
  • Artificial Intelligence White Paper

All three documents can be downloaded from the Project's Downloads website.

The Final Report

The project culminated in the Human Rights and Technology Final Report. The Report sets out a roadmap for responsible innovation—taking advantage of the promise of new technology, while upholding our human rights.

The Report’s recommendations will help ensure that new technologies are developed and used in ways that are inclusive, accountable, and with robust human rights safeguards.
