Thank you for the chance to speak with you at your AGM today. AGMs are important formal processes in the corporate life of an organisation. But they also provide an opportunity to reflect on what the organisation has achieved over the last twelve months, and to look into the future at the challenges ahead. You - as members, directors, staff and supporters of Epilepsy Action - know the organisation much better than I do. So I'm not going to attempt a review of your past, or polish up my crystal ball for some future gazing. -

On 22 October 2001 the Sex Discrimination Commissioner ("the SD Commissioner") filed a Notice of Motion seeking to move the Court for orders that the SD Commissioner be granted leave to appear as amicus curiae in these proceedings, together with any consequential orders and directions. The Notice of Motion was supported by an affidavit of the SD Commissioner affirmed on 19 October 2001. -

Social Justice Report 2005 : Recommendations and follow up actions
In accordance with the functions set out in section 46C(1) (a) of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Act 1986 (Cth), this report includes 5 recommendations - 3 in relation to Achieving health equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people s and 2 in relation to the new arrangement in Indigenous affairs. The report also contains 5 follow up actions that my office will undertaken over the next twelve months in relation to the new arrangements. These and the recommendations are reproduced here and appear at the relevant part of the report. -
