Information Publication Scheme

Part II of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act) establishes an Information Publication Scheme (IPS) for Australian Government agencies subject to the FOI Act.  The IPS commences on 1 May 2011 and requires agencies to publish a broad range of information on their websites.

The Commission's Information Publication Scheme Plan describes how it intends to comply with the IPS.

How to make a Freedom of Information application

The FOI Act gives everyone a right of access to documents held by federal government agencies, subject to certain exemptions.
