Scarlett Finney was only six when she saw the brochures for the Hills Grammar School, set in park-like grounds in Sydney's outer suburbs. She indicated her keenness to attend "the school in the bush". Her parents were prepared to pay the fees, and saw the setting and curriculum as providing her with a great education. But the school refused her enrolment due to the fact that she had spina bifida, and sometimes used a wheelchair [1]. -

Guidelines for writing and publishing recruitment advertisements
The federal Sex Discrimination Act applies throughout Australia and contains some provisions that are different to state and territory sex discrimination laws. People and organisations exempt under state and territory laws (such as small businesses) are not necessarily exempt under the federal Sex Discrimination Act. It is not enough to simply comply with state or territory anti-discrimination laws. You must also meet your obligations under the federal Sex Discrimination Act. -

Corporate Social Responsibility & Human Rights
The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is generally understood to mean that corporations have a degree of responsibility not only for the economic consequences of their activities, but also for the social and environmental implications. This is sometimes referred to as a ‘triple bottom line’ approach that considers the economic, social and environmental aspects of corporate activity. -

As well I undertook research to learn more about the barriers to employment facing mature age workers. -

The Right to a Discrimination-Free Workplace
The prohibition on discrimination in employment is a relatively recent, but now well-established, feature of the Australian legal environment.
