Summary

This page is about the new Australian Human Rights Commission Workplace sexual harassment eLearning course for the retail and hospitality sectors.

Changes to the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth) require all organisations and businesses to take steps to eliminate work-related sexual harassment. This includes providing relevant education and training for all workers.

In Australia, work-related sexual harassment is widespread: it occurs in every industry, in every location and at every level. But the risk in the retail and hospitality sectors is especially high.

This course is designed specifically for people working in retail and hospitality. It draws on our Guidelines for Complying with the Positive Duty under the Sex Discrimination Act (PDF, 3.07 MB).

It also incorporates recently published research on sexual harassment in the Australian retail and hospitality sectors.

This eLearning course will support your workers to create safer and more respectful workplaces.
