Special guest was the Attorney-General the Hon. Daryl Williams AM QC MP and the guest speaker was film maker Paul Cox. Christina Koutsoukos was the MC.</p> -

The Attorney-General, the Hon Michael Lavarch, presented the 1994 Human Rights Medal to Dr Roberta Sykes. In addition to the Human Rights Medal, there were 15 awards covering four categories: Media, Literature and Other Writings, Film and Corporate.</p> -

1992 Human Rights Medal and Awards Winners

Over 300 people attended the ceremony. Sir Ronald Wilson, the Master of Ceremonies, introduced the Minister for Consumer Affairs Jeanette McHugh, who was representing the Attorney General.</p> -

Mr Chris Puplick, former Liberal Senator for New South Wales, and broadcaster Ms Geraldine Doogue presented the awards.</p> -

1987 Human Rights Medal and Awards Winners

The choice of recipient, after open nomination, is made by an independent panel. The Medal is designed and made by Melbourne based Michael Meszaros, an international award-winning medal designer and sculptor.</p> -
